Watch: Idris Elba is Disturbingly Evil in ‘No Good Deed’ Trailer

Idris Elba is ditching his good guy/heartthrob status for psycho villain with his forthcoming thriller, No Good Deed , which will hit theaters on September 12th through Sony Pictures.

Yes ladies… I’m heartbroken too, but the film looks pretty exciting (and frightening) from the trailer above.

Also starring Taraji P. Henson , the film follows Terri (Taraji), “a devoted wife and mother of two, who lives an ideal life that takes a dramatic turn when her home and children are threatened by Colin (Idris), a charming stranger who smooth-talks his way into her house, claiming car trouble. The unexpected invitation leaves her and her family terrorized and fighting for survival.”

So we’ll basically watch the movie hoping Taraji finally kills his crazy ass… -sigh-

Leslie Bibb, Kate del Castillo and Henry Simmons round out the cast for the Screen Gems/Will Packer Productions flick.

Directed by Sam Miller , No Good Deed was written Aimee Lagos and filmed in Atlanta, Georgia.

Other upcoming projects for Idris include a drama titled Second Coming ; a crime drama alongside Sean Penn titled, The Gunman ; an African war-drama called Beasts of No Nation ; another thriller, Alive Alone ; Disney’s live-action Jungle Book , also starring Scarlett Johansson and Lupita Nyong’o ; and Bastille Day , an action film.

Meanwhile Taraji is set to star in FOX’s Lee Daniels -directed drama series, Empire , and a crime drama film titled, Term Life .
