While most of the millions of people who watch the Super Bowl tune in for the actual game, myself along with many others tune in for the commercials and the Halftime show.
Last year , Madonna performed some of her biggest hits at the event and brought out special guests Nicki Minaj, M.I.A., LMFAO and Cee Lo to help entertain the crowd on the amazing colorful and digitally enhanced stage.
This year, Beyoncé did the same thing, minus the mentioned guests. The show opened with the first ever fan made countdown to an instrumental of well, “Countdown.”
Then, dressed in a Rubin Singer leather bodysuit with python and lace, Bey appeared on the center of the stage well she began the performance with a edition of “Love On Top,” before going into her debut solo single “Crazy in Love,” which featured the singer doing the iconic “booty dance.”
She then went into amazing performances of “End of Time” and “Baby Boy,” but it was when the instrumental of “Bootylicious” played where the real fun began.
She brought out her Destiny’s Child group members Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams , and performed a DC3 melody of “Bootylicious” and “Independent Women” before they all took part in “Single Ladies.”
I enjoyed the performance, and it left me wanting more, and hoping for a DC3 reunion. And can we talk about that stage??!!! Take a look at the performance below and be sure to tell us what you think:
