For the past few weeks, rumors have been surfacing that Britney Spears would not be returning for another season of The X Factor , and yesterday, those rumors were confirmed, well kind off.
According to THR , an X Factor insider says that Britney was not going to be asked back and will not return for season three.
Though I’m sure that her performance on the live shows simply underwhelmed, and the constant criticism from the media, had a big part in this, the main reason for Britney not returning can be due to the star currently working on her eighth studio album.
Rumors are also circulating on fan-sites and Twitter that Britney is also planning to go on another world tour in support of the album, and if that is true, then her not returning to the show is very understandable.
In other Britney news, she currently working with some inspiring new producers on the album, such as Hit-Boy , who’s the mastermind behind Kanye and Jay-Z ‘s “Ni**az in Paris,” Rihanna ‘s “Watch n’ Learn” from 2011′s Talk That Talk , and Brandy ‘s “1st & Love,” from her fifth studio album Human. will.i.am and Pharrell Williams are also said to be featured.
Her duet with will.i.a.m, “ Scream & Shout ,” has also managed to rise from #12 to #8 on the Hot 100 . It also pushes from #9 to #4 on the Digital Songs chart and passes the 1 million copies mark. It rises from #16 to #11 on On-Demand Songs and #27 to #21 on Radio Songs . Thoughts?
