For the fifth consecutive week , Bruno Mars’ “ Locked Out of Heaven “ holds the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song serves as the singer’s longest-reigning #1 song in his career — so far at least.
He first led for two weeks as a guest on B.o.B ‘s debut single “Nothin’ On You” in 2010, before holding the spot on his own for four weeks a piece with “Just the Way You Are” i n 2010 and 2011′s “Grenade.”
“Locked Out” also spends a third week at #1 on the Radio Songs chart, posting a 6% increase to 149 million all-format audience impressions, according to Nielsen BDS. And it sits at #2 on the On-Demand Songs chart, thanks to Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ song “ Thrift Shop ,” which features guest vocals from Wanz.
Coming in at #2 on the Hot 100 is Rihanna ‘s former three-week #1 “ Diamonds ,” the lead single from her seventh studio album Unapologetic , which has sold over 530,000 copies in its one month release.
The song does, however, hold the #1 spot on the R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart (for a reason I still don’t understand) for the 14th week.
Rounding up the top 10 this week are Taylor Swift, who re-bounded with a jump from #4 to #2 last week with “ I Knew You Were Trouble “ and now falls to #3, while The Lumineers’ “ Ho Hey “ stays at #4. Macklemore ‘s “ Thrift Shop “ also soars from #10 to #5 as this week’s top Streaming Gainer .
Phillip Phillips’ “ Home “ reaches a new peak, at #6, up from #9, in its 28th week on the Hot 100 and Justin Bieber’s “ Beauty and a Beat ,” featuring Nicki Minaj, slips from its #5 peak to #7.
After five weeks between #’s 12 and 15, the superstar pairing of will.i.am and Britney Spears results in a top 10 rank at last, as “ Scream & Shout “ storms from #12 to #8 on the Hot 100.
The duet also pushes from #9 to #4 on the Digital Songs chart and passes the 1 million copies mark. It rises from #16 to #11 on On-Demand Songs and #27 to #21 on Radio Songs . Thoughts?
