5 beauty products she can’t live without:
- Lipstick Queen Vesuvius Liquid Lipstick $24
- Make Up For Ever HD Microfinish Powder $34
- Peter Thomas Roth Preview CC Cream $48
- Maybelline Great Lash Mascara $5.19
- Luca’s PawPaw Ointment $22.99
On why she co-founded Beautified:
“I’m working and DJing and need to utilize the daytime hours a little better. I found myself on a street corner, calling around, Googling, Yelping and trying to figure out where I could squeeze in a last-minute appointment. Beautified was born in that frustration. My co-founders Annie Evans and Peter Hananel and I got together….and now it’s a living, breathing app.”
On what she likes to cook:
“I normally love to cook a good dinner. Quinoa eggplant parm, or a spinach lasagna without sauce,” she says. “I do a lot of baking mostly with gluten-free flours. I make a raw cheesecake that’s gluten- and dairy-free.”

Some tips for someone who wants to start eating healthier:
“When you’re shopping, try to stay away from processed foods and white flours. Going gluten-free isn’t for everyone. Try to understand what you’re eating and what types of oils are being used. It’s not that great to cook with olive oil at a high heat because it releases toxins. I mostly cook with coconut oil.”
3 healthy snack recipes:
- Cacao pudding with avocado
- Healthy bowl with quinoa
- Green smoothie with kale
On being an entrepreneur:
I don’t think I really understood what I wanted to do with my life, which is why I’ve put my hand in many different things. I have a love and passion for wellness and food. When I was in college an opportunity came to me, and I went for it. That opportunity turned out to not be the best for me. That led to another investment in a different restaurant that has been really amazing to be a part of. It’s all about not taking my failures lightly and learning from them. That’s what brought me to where I am today.
