Award-winning music artist and Le Cordon Bleu-trained chef, Kelis has revealed her debut cookbook, My Life on a Plate: Delicious Everyday Recipes & Sauces, will be out September 7, 2015 through Kyle Books.
Famous for hits like “Milkshake” and “Bossy,” the singer and certified saucier has worked in Los Angeles restaurants Canelé and Ritual Supper Club.
In 2013, she premiered her “FOOD Truck,” which was a smash at SXSW, and brought her mouth-watering meals to The Cooking Channel.
This year Kelis launched Bounty & Full, her 100% natural sauce line combining classical French culinary with diverse world foods. Flavors range from “Wild-cherry BBQ infused with expresso” to a “Ginger Sesame Glaze.”
In My Life On A Plate, she will share her personal story through the food she creates with stunning photography by David Loftus.
The recipes will be a fusion of her Puerto Rican heritage and the dishes she has discovered while traveling, such as Swedish Meatballs and Malay Curry Chicken.
