To mark the 10-year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, BET will air its original documentary special Katrina 10 Years Later: Through Hell In High Water on August 26.
Hosted by BET News correspondent Jeff Johnson , the segment will explore stories of survival as well the beauty and resilience of New Orleans.
Features will include award-winning actor Wendell Pierce ( The Wire / Treme ), New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu , Principal Doris Jicks of MLK High School, resident Robert Green , visual artist Brandan “Bmike” Odums , hip-hop mogul Master P , rapper Juvenile , and Queen of Bounce Big Freedia .
