Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!! My prayers have been answered, and hopefully things officially keep going this time. After rumors began swirling around that Hilary Duff was working on having a baby girl, the singer took to her official Twitter account last week to announce that she is working on her next studio album, stating:
“It’s ridiculous….The only baby I’m working on is my album.”
This is long overdue and I’m sure fans will agree. Her last studio album, the heavily underrated Dignity (which I am currently listening to in honor of the good news) was released on April 2007.
The album went on to sell slightly over 400,000 copies, earning it a Gold certification. If you can’t do the math (no pun intended), that is a mere six years since we’ve had new music from her.
When doing a a Q&A on Twitter in August, in honor of the 10 year anniversary of of her breakout album, Metamorphosis, Hilary had this to say about the album:
“I’m super into EDM. definitely catchy hooks i’ve always cared alot abt lyrics & love 2 dance!”
There are currently little details surrounding the record at the moment, but it has been revealed that she is working with producer/songwriter Billy Mann , who has done songs with D avid Guetta, Celine Dion, Kelly Rowland, John Legend , and Robyn – just to name a few.
