On the 10th of May, DJ Friction is flying over from the UK to play an exclusive drum and bass set at Q Underground for the return of AudiOasis , the biggest DNB party in Dubai!
One of Brighton’s homegrown talents, Friction is regarded as a major player in the bass scene today.
Well-known for his technical expertise and three-deck mixing, he has his own weekly radio show on Radio 1 at the BBC, and has served as head of Shogun Audio since 2004.
Working with all the big labels, such as Metalheadz, Hospital and Renegade Hardware, he has gained a worldwide reputation as one of the best in the DNB genre.
He’ll be spinning a good variety of tracks, favouring dance floor dub-plates and some classics too.
Presented by in part by Red Bull, Pioneer and Virgin Megastore, the evening will be hosted by local MC Prit , and will feature additional UAE talent, including Arab hip-hop artist Malikah , and dj’s Mr Gremlin , Somalie , ElekTTra and Kymera .
Q Underground’s dark basement space will be equipped with a huge void system, to big up the bass, and hot food as well. Additionally, there will be live graffiti art to add some grittiness and verve to the venue.
