Usher, 5 Seconds of Summer & Ariana Grande to Perform at 2014 VMAs

Usher performs “Good Kisser” on NBC’s ‘The Voice’

The 2014 MTV VMA’s will be here sooner than you think and the network has begun the performers list.

R&B/pop veteran Usher and Australian boy band 5 Seconds of Summer are two of the first acts to be name dropped and who are set to hit the stage at the ceremony. Ariana Grande is also set make her VMAs debut with a performance.

This year’s event will be held on Sunday, August 24 at 9 PM EST/8 PM CST, at Inglewood, California’s recently renovated venue The Forum.

Last year, the VMAs celebrated their 30th anniversary and were held at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, and managed to pull in 10.1 million viewers.

It featured performances from Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Kanye West, Bruno Mars and Katy Perry . Justin Timberlake became the second artist to earn the Video Vanguard Award and reunited with his ‘N Sync .
