Former (and my favorite) Spice Girl Mel B , who is better known by her stage name Scary Spice, has been confirmed as the fourth judge for the upcoming 11th season of the UK’s X Factor .
According to reports , she signed a deal worth $1.67 million (£1 million). She served as a guest judge on the show in 2012. Take a look at what Simon Cowell had to say about her below:
“I thought she was fantastic as a guest judge a couple of years ago. She is feisty, opinionated and, I believe, will be a great mentor.”
Mel B. then went on to say:
“I’ve always thought honesty is the best policy when being a judge and that’s what I’m going to bring more of this year. Whether it’s spotting an incredible singer, giving someone a reality check or debating with Simon over who’s got it wrong. Now I can’t wait to get started and find some amazing talent.”
Mel B. will be joining Cowell and Cheryl Cole , who took a four year break from the judges seat, and also returning judge Louis Walsh .
Filming for the 11th season begins next week with auditions taking place across the UK.
