The nominations for the 2014 BET Awards have been announced and superstar couple Beyoncé and Jay-Z , as well as actor-turned-singer and part-time rapper Drake , are in the lead.

While the Carters rule the show with four nominations each, Drizzy follows with a total of three.

Chris Brown, Pharrell Williams and newcomer August Alsina also score a total of three nominations, while singer Ariana Grande joins ScHoolboy Q, Mack Wilds , and Rich Homie Quan in the new artist category.
