Last Friday, MTV and LOGO aired The T Word , an eye-opening documentary on the lives of trans youth presented by Orange Is the New Black star and trans activist Laverne Cox . If you missed it, watch above.

The feature follows seven brave individuals, ranging in age from 12-24, and explored the intersections of transgender identity and race.

“For many of us, the ‘T’ in LGBT means more than transgender, it also means truth,” Laverne said in a statement. “The cast members in this documentary are fearlessly living their truths and in sharing their stories will send the message to other trans youth that it’s okay to be who you are.”
