Nitty Scott, MC Takes ‘The Art of Chill’ on Tour in June

Michigan-born, Brooklyn-based Nitty Scott, MC will soon embark on a set of tour dates in support of her upcoming album, The Art Of Chill , which is out May 23rd.

The 23-year-old rapper has been releasing teasers and insights into the intimate new project, which will deal with difficult subject matter such as sexual abuse, mental health and healing.

“I am going ahead and opening up with my story about sexual abuse,” Nitty told HipHopDX in March . “It’s something that I think happens way too often…I think [this album is] going to speak to so many women out there that can relate, and that have buried that and carried that with them.”

The set will feature appearances from Top Dawg Entertainment ‘s Ab-Soul , Rapper Big Pooh (formerly of Little Brother), Brooklyn emcee Sene , and Grammy nominated singer Stacy Barthe .

The Art of Chill follows previous EPs and mixtapes: 2011’s The Cassette Chronicles, 2012’s The Boombox Diaries, Vol. 1 and 2011’s Doobies x Popsicle Sticks.

Her tour which will kick off on June 8th in Cleveland before hitting Toronto, New York City, Pittsburgh, Chicago, and ending in St. Louis on June 22nd.
