Watch: Mike Epps as Infamous ‘Uncle Buck’ in New ABC Series

ABC has revealed a funny official trailer for its Fall comedy series Uncle Buck, starring actor-comedian Mike Epps and actress Nia Long.

The show is reboot of the TV adaptation of John Hughes’ 1989 film of the same name, which starred the late John Candy.

Uncle Buck (Mike Epps) is a fun-loving, but irresponsible guy who needs a job and a place to stay.

By happy coincidence, his nieces and nephews’ nanny has just quit so his brother Will Russell (James Lesure) and sister-in-law Cindy (Nia Long) need his help.

Ultimately, his unconventional personality just may make him the right fit for the family and they may be the answer to his problems, too.

Written by Steven Cragg and Brian Bradley, the series also features Iman Benson, Sayeed Shahidi, and Aalyrah Caldwell and the Russell children.

It is executive produced by Will Packer, along with Cragg and Bradley for Universal Television/ABC.

The original film also starred Amy Madigan, Jean Louisa Kelly, Gaby Hoffmann, Macaulay Culkin, Jay Underwood, and Laurie Metcalf.

It was adapted as a TV series on CBS in 1990, starring Kevin Meaney as the title character. It lasted for one season that consisted of 22 episodes.

A date and time have not yet been set for ABC’s version with Mike Epps.
