Independence Day , an indie hip-hop showcase at SXSW 2014 will feature performances by Tech N9ne , Nipsey Hussle , Dom Kennedy , Trae tha Truth , Dizzy Wright , Rittz , MURS with ¡MAYDAY! and more on March 13th in Austin, Texas.
The show will be preceded by a panel discussion on indie music labels (12:30 pm), featuring DJ Skee , Strange Music CEO Travis O’Guin , industry legend Wendy Day of The Rap Coalition, and MURS — Strange Music’s newest addition.
Five of the artists from the event’s lineup have upcoming projects to look out for: Tech N9ne’s Strangeulation (May 6, 2014) and Special Effects (2014); Nipsey Hussle’s Victory Lap (2014), Trae tha Truth’s Banned (2014); Dizzy Wright’s State of Mind EP (March 2014) and untitled studio album (2014); and MURS’ Mursday (2014) and Love & Rockets, Volume 2: The Declaration.
