2013 BBC mini series Dancing on the Edge and Dee Rees‘ 2011 film Pariah are just two of the award-winning titles arriving on Netflix in August 2015.

Dancing on the Edge, a brilliant TV drama about a black jazz band in London in the early 1930s, stars Academy Award nominated actor Chiwetel Ejiofor (Half of a Yellow Sun), Matthew Goode (The Good Wife), Angel Coulby (Merlin), John Goodman (The Gambler), Anthony Head (Merlin), Wunmi Mosaku (In The Flesh), and Jacqueline Bisset.

The series won Best Miniseries or Television Film at the Satellite Awards, and was nominated for three awards at the 2014 Golden Globe Awards. Bisset won Best Supporting Actress in a Series, Mini-Series or TV Movie.

Ejiofor won a Black Reel Award for Outstanding Actor, TV Movie or Mini-Series and a Broadcasting Press Guild Award for Best Actor. Netflix premiere: August 1, 2015.

Starring Adepero Oduye (12 Years a Slave), Kim Wayans (Reckless), and Aasha Davis (The Unwritten Rules), Pariah tells the story of a 17-year-old teenager embracing her identity as a lesbian.

The film premiered at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival where it won the Excellence in Cinematography Award. Netflix premiere: August 16, 2015.
