Having expanded to ATL and Paris, AFROPUNK Festival is now coming home to Brooklyn with a stellar lineup this summer!
Set to commence August 22-23 at Commodore Barry Park, performances will include but are not limited to: Lenny Kravitz, Grace Jones, Kelis, Danny Brown, Suicidal Tendencies, Thundercat, Raury, GoldLink, Kaytranda, Lion Babe, Curtis Harding, Adia Victoria, Sam Dew, Brenmar, Uniqu3, Petite Noir, Young Paris, Black Luck, WC Kids, and Nadus.
There will also be the first annual AFROPUNK Fancy Dress Ball with Grace Jones, Cakes Da Killa, and MikeQ (with special guest) on August 21 at the park.
The event to raise funds for the AFROPUNK Global Initiative: an alliance dedicated to moving the needle of progress closer to a holistic, democratic and enlightened representation of people of color within all facets of society with the goal to create unique programming that encourages diversity in media.
