If you’ve been keeping up with the site for the past 16 days, you would notice that there have been two line ups for music festivals every week.
While this is true, and simply no coincidence, it’s safe to say that not only is this the time for award show nominations to roll out, but also the time for music lovers to see where some of their favorite artists will be performing.
It has been announced that David Guetta , who is also a performer at this year’s Ultra Music Festival in Miami (March 28-30), will also be performing at the Suburbia Music Festival , which will be held in Plano, Texas on May 3 and 4th at the Oak Point Park and Nature Preserve.
Headed by Live Nation , the two-day event will feature a variety of musicians that span a number of genres, including Guetta’s electronic roots as well as rock, pop, folk, urban and more, such as the Grammy-nominated rockers Alabama Shakes , J. Cole , Third Eye Blind , Tegan and Sara , Yelawolf and Run the Jewels ( El-P and Killer Mike ).
Slightly Stoopid , The Dandy Warholds , Blue October and American Authors are also among Suburbia’s lineup, with more to be announced prior to May. Take a look at what Live Nation’s Senior VP, Danny Eaton had to say below:
“The enthusiasm for Suburbia is off the charts here at Live Nation. We believe that North Texas has been in need of a major music festival for many years and we firmly believe that Suburbia will be the vehicle to become an annual event for decades to come. We also want to thank the City of Plano for offering us this opportunity to showcase the beautiful acreage known as Oak Point Park to stage Suburbia. Suburbia is destined to become the premiere music festival of all time in the North Texas area.”
Tickets for the concert are scheduled to go on sale January 25 at 11 a.m. EST through Live Nation’s mobile app and at its official website.
Pre-sale began January 17 through Ticketmaster , with more information being available on the festival’s Facebook page .
