Watch: Miley Cyrus Twerks with Giant Teddy Bears & Parties Hard in “We Can’t Stop” Video
The song serves as the official lead single from her upcoming fourth studio album, which is set to be released within the next few months of this year.
The video for the song was filmed in Los Angeles, California during the last week of May 2013, and was directed by Diane Martel. When speaking about the music video with MTV, producer Mike Will Made It had this to say:
“When she heard this song, what made her connect to this song is it reminded her of a specific party, a specific party where she was at. She’s saying real stuff. It’s all real. So it’s not like her trying to force anything or anything like that. It’s like speaking from experience. It’s like a point-of-view record.”
The video features the singer/actress and her twerk team dancing with giant teddy bears strapped to their backs, female wrestling, and even a make out session with a doll that was made in Ms. Cyrus’ image.
So far “We Can’t Stop” has managed to peak and debut at #11 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, as well as #3 on the iTunes Singles chart.
