By now even those who don’t use Twitter have at least heard of Drake ‘s latest mixtape, If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late .
The 17-track compilation debuted with little warning last week, featuring collabs with Lil Wayne, PARTYNEXTDOOR , and Travis $cott .
Toward the album’s end, track #16 to be exact, there’s a mellow gem titled “Jungle.”
Helmed by Drake’s go-to producer Noah “40” Shebib , the tune incorporates Gabriel Garzón Montano ‘s soothing “6 8.”
“Rock me real slowly /
Put a bib on me /
I’m just like a baby, drooling over you /
The things you do…”
“6 8” appears on the Brooklyn crooner’s debut EP, Bishouné: Alma del Huila , which released last February.
This certainly isn’t the first time I can credit the introduction to an artist to Drake, who also put me on to Swedish indie pop singer-songwriter Lykke Li with 2009’s “ Little Bit “ remix.
