It’s unlikely that you won’t be craving more from Baltimore-born, London-based songstress Max Marshall after listening to her addictive new single, “Be Free.”

Best known for assisting Matrix & Futurebound ‘s drum and bass single Control ,” Max offers up a more soulful house track with this new tune.

She demands a little freedom, incorporating a bit of Deniece Williams ‘ classic Free in the hook.

“If I need I’ll say it / I’ll call you (Call you),” declares Max, who was once a wig maker for Lady Gaga . “Free to be me wherever / You feel it too.”

Max’s debut EP Pressure released on October 4, 2013 via Fudge Recordings. The project features another jammin’ single, “Your Love is Like,” which received a Joshua Lawrence -directed music video on May 26, 2014.

“The video is something I’m really proud of. It was shot in my hometown of Baltimore, Maryland,” she told EuroNews last month.

She continued: “It shows many places that I’ve been, I’ve been inspired growing up. It shows some people that are important in my life, my mother is in it, my uncle Reggie’s in it. It’s a song about everything I’m into right now. Everything that I’m loving, my work, my boyfriend, just my life at the moment is like magic and I think it’s a crossover song that everyone can relate to.”
