Mad Decent Boat Party 2014

After six years on land, Mad Decent , a Philadelphia via Los Angeles-based record label ran by producer, songwriter and DJ, Diplo , has made plans to take its popular usually free concerts – also known as Block Parties – on the water.

Set to leave the great city of Miami on November 12, 2014, the Norwegian Cruise Line ship will carry 2,600 EDM fans to Nassau, Bahamas and private island Great Stirrup Cay before returning to Florida on November 16th.

The event sets out to break down the barriers between fans and artists through on-board activities like basketball, bowling and even gambling.

Originally started in Philadelphia in 2008 as a label showcase, it has since evolved into a 14-city series of events that draws over 125,000 people each summer.

Like the Block Party , the Boat Party will feature Mad Decent artists such as Diplo’s Major Lazer and Zeds Dead along with friends like Katy B and Wolfgang Gartner .

Pre-sale sign-ups for the Mad Decent Boat Party begin February 20th. Packages start at $800 based on double occupancy and can be reserved with at $200 deposit.
