Zoë Kravitz to Star in English Adaptation of German Dramedy ‘The Road Within’

Zoë Kravitz in ‘After Earth’

Zoë Kravitz ( Yelling to the Sky / After Earth ) joins the cast of The Road Within, an English-language adaptation of German comedic drama titled Vincent Will Meer (Vincent Wants to Sea) .

The film, which also stars Robert Sheehan ( Misfits ) and Dev Patel ( Slumdog Millionaire / The Newsroom ), will be the directorial debut of Gren Wells .

The story centers on a boy with Tourette Syndrome (Sheehan), who flees a residential home with two fellow patients, an anorexic woman (Kravitz) and his OCD roomate (Patel), and embarks on a road trip to scatter his mother’s ashes in the ocean.

The original film was the German Film Academy’s picture of the year winner in 2011.

In other Zoë movie news, we’ll soon see her in quirky coming of age film The Boy Who Smells Like Fish , and 2014 releases Mad Max: Fury Road and Divergent .
