Complexions Contemporary Ballet is celebrating its 20th anniversary (November 18-30) at New York City’s Joyce Theater with special performances including American Ballet Theater soloist Misty Copeland .
The program will consist of three premieres and a selection of repertory favorites, with artistic directors Dwight Rhoden and Desmond Richardson saluting the acclaimed dance company’s inaugural 1994 performance.
On November 20th, the evening before Complexions’ Gala event, Misty will take the stage performing Rhoden’s signature duet, “Ave Maria,” an excerpt from “Grapes of Wrath” (1995), with Complexions’ Artist-in-Residence, Clifford Williams .
