Watch: TV One’s ‘Unsung’ Season 6 to Profile Heavy D, The Delfonics, Geto Boys & More

Airing October 30th, the sixth edition of TV One’s Unsung will shine a light on the legacies left by the late “overweight lover” Heavy D , 70s souls group The Delfonics , 90s dance queen CeCe Peniston , controversial Texas rap group the Geto Boys , and Latin freestyle artist Lisa Lisa.

We’ll learn about how they grew up, what drove their careers, personal hardships, and in some cases deaths.

The show, which won an NAACP Image Award for “Outstanding Information Series or Special” in 2011, has so covered the lives of over 60 underappreciated R&B and hip-hop acts including Atlantic Starr , Donny Hathaway , The Fat Boys , Isaac Hayes and Teena Marie .

Tune in October 30th at 8/7c.
