So many feels! Janelle Monáe has unveiled the “Official Emotion Picture” for her Miguel -assisted Primetime ,” the sensual soul duet from Electric Lady (my favorite from the critically-acclaimed 19-track set).

Set in Metropolis, the Alan Ferguson -directed visual finds Miguel aka “Joey Vice” smitten by an elusive Janelle aka Cindi Mayweather, a feisty waitress at the Electric Sheep Nightclub — where the sheep are few and are between.

She eventually lets him take her to his side of town where fellow Wondalanders Deep Cotton are rocking out in a much more lively scene. The two go back to his place and my goodness they’re so frickin’ cute! Watch below.

In a recent interview on The Breakfast Club, Janelle described the song as “basically saying, go after love in the the midst of this chaotic world, you’ve got to make time for love because love is one of the most important things that we can possess for ourselves and for each other.”

As Janelle’s second studio album, Electric Lady released September 6th via Wondaland Arts Society and Bad Boy Records, and debuted at #5 on the Billboard 200 with first-week sales of 47,000 copies. It also peaked at #3 on the US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.

“Primetime” is preceded by funktastic “Q.U.E.E.N.,” featuring Erykah Badu , and a high-energy “Dance Apocalyptic.”

The “Electric Lady” is nominated for several Soul Train Awards including Best R&B/Soul Artist, The Ashford and Simpson Songwriter’s Award, Best Dance Performance, Video of the Year, and Best Collaboration for “Q.U.E.E.N.” The show airs December 1st at 9pm on Centric and BET.
