French electronic musical duo Daft Punk, who are nominated for five Grammy awards including Record of the Year for “Get Lucky,” are set to perform at the 56th annual event, which will take place on January 26th at the Staples Center In Los Angeles.
I’m not sure, but I think that this will be the group’s first time performing at the event. It can, however, be expected to see them put on an amazing show (here’s to hoping they perform “Instant Crush”).
Also confirmed to hit the stage are Kendrick Lamar and breakout rock band Imagine Dragons, who I have fallen in love with thanks to the Maerican Music Awards, as well as their music being heavily rotated on my local Top 40 station and VH1 in the morning as I get dressed for work.
P!nk and fun.‘s Nate Ruess will perform their #1 hit single “Just Give Me a Reason.” A special “Grammy moment” performance featuring Merle Haggard, Kris Kristofferson, Willie Nelson and Blake Shelton rounds out this round’s list of performers.
I don’t know if it’s me (yes it’s me) but I’m not really excited for this year’s event. Though I’m a huge fan of P!nk and I love my share of Daft Punk and Kendrick Lamar, a part of me just isn’t interested in 2014’s Grammy event.
However dear readers, it will not stop me from watching the event as I did this year, and sharing the list of winners with you.
