‘Scandal’ Season 3 Premiere, Oct. 3, 2013
The numbers are in for Scandal ‘s Season 3 premiere on Thursday, which unsurprisingly brought in the show’s best ratings ever.
10.5 million viewers tuned in (compared to 7.3 million for season 1′s premiere and 6.7 million for season 2), garnering a 3.6 rating and highs in total viewers and Adults 18-49. The Scandal recap special alone brought in 5.7 million viewers.
“Are we gladiators, or are we bitches?!”
And whether you were watching or not, if you were on Twitter or Facebook your timeline was filled with “scandalous” updates – 712,877 tweets to be exact and continued trending into Friday afternoon.
The drama series scored its highest social delivery to date and was also the #1 most social series on Thursday night.
So did the premiere live up to the hype? Absolutely. In fact, it was too much… too much drama, secrets, gut-checking, and Olivia sashaying in that fabulous white trench coat in one night!
