First Miley Cyrus , now Selena Gomez . My day would be complete if Hilary Duff announces at least one detail about her long overdue fourth studio album, but since I got two ex-Disney stars making moves, I’ll stop bitching.
Selena has unveiled the official cover art and release date for her upcoming debut solo studio album Stars Dance , due July 23, a birthday gift to herself.
In case you don’t know, like myself, Selena was born in July, and like my grandmother, who I love so much, her birthday is also on July 22.
What’s also interesting is that the singer took to Twitter and hashtagged a songs expected to appear on the album.
While I’m not sure of what particular order they will be in, the songs include “ Birthday,” “Slow Down,” “Stars Dance,” “Like A Champion,” “Save the Day,” “Beat,” “Write Your Name ,” and “Forget Forever.”
The album is currently preceded by the lead single “ Come & Get It ,” which was released on April 8, 2013.
The mid-tempo pop song was written by Ester Dean, Mikkel S. Eriksen , and Tor E. Hermansen and was produced by Stargate .
It has so far managed to peak at #6 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, her first single ever to reach the Top 10.
When the album’s tracklisting is unveiled in a more official way I will be sure to let you guys know.
