Watch: Black Female Racecar Driver Nicole Lyons is Royal Purple’s 2013 “Outperformer”
At seven years old, Nicole Lyons was fleeing the police at drag races. She builds engines. She builds cars. And she drives a gorgeous red ’66 Chevelle.
The first woman to compete in both NHRA drag racing and NASCAR in one race season, it’s no wonder she’s Royal Purple‘s “Outperformer.”
Carrying on the spirit of her father, who started her on her path but passed away the week of her season opener, Nicole tells her inspiring story in the motor oil brand’s new commercial/mini-doc. Enjoy below.
