Watch: First Trailer for ‘Rocky’ Sequel, ‘Creed,’ Starring Michael B. Jordan

Warner Bros. has finally unveiled an official first trailer for its highly-anticipated Rocky spin-off, Creed (2015), directed by Fruitvale Station‘s Ryan Coogler.

Coogler reunites with Fruitvale Station superstar Michael B. Jordan, who plays Adonis Creed, the son of Rocky Balboa’s (Sylvester Stallone) late friend and rival, Apollo Creed.

In the clip above, we see Adonis attempting to emerge from the shadow of the world heavyweight champion father who died before he was born.

While in Philadelphia, he tracks down Rocky, who reluctantly agrees to train and mentor the young boxer when he sees the strength and determination he had known in Apollo.
