If you enjoyed the premiere of USA Network’s Mr. Robot this week, don’t be afraid to get attached.

The compelling psychological thriller was renewed for a second season just hours before it hit the air on Wednesday.

Created by Sam Esmail, the show follows Elliot Alderson (Rami Malek), a young cyber-security engineer by day and a vigilante hacker by night, who suffers from an anti-social disorder and connects to people by hacking them.

Elliot meets a mysterious anarchist known as “Mr. Robot” (Christian Slater) who wants him to join his team of hackers, “Fsociety”.

Though intrigued, Elliot is uncertain he wants to be part of the group and its mission to destroy the corporation he is paid to protect.

Compelled by his personal beliefs, he struggles to resist the chance to take down the multinational CEOs that are running (and ruining) the world.

USA’s optimism can be accredited to Mr. Robot‘s streaming success ahead of its USA debut: 2.7 million viewers over almost a month.

Additionally, it premiered at the SXSW Film Festival, where it took home an audience award before screening at the Tribeca Film Festival and SeriesFest.

Also starring Portia Doubleday, Carly Chaikin, Martin Wallström, and Gloria Reuben, Mr Robot‘s first season will consist of 10 episodes.

If you missed it the first episode, watch it in full on and be sure to tune in on Wednesdays at 10/9c on USA.
