This week on the Arsenio Hall Show actor Michael K. Williams recalled his emotional breakdown while filming 12 Years A Slave with director Steve McQueen .

Arsenio is moved tears as Michael reveals the intense moment that brought him to his knees and helped him understand what our enslaved ancestors went through.

The 47-year-old Brooklyn native will be having a busy 2014 with the fifth and final season of HBO’s Boardwalk Empire and roles in RoboCop , The Purge 2 , Kill the Messenger , and Inherent Vice .

He’ll also play Wu-Tang ‘s Ol’ Dirty Bastard for a forthcoming biopic Dirty White Boy , which is still in pre-production.
