Though Beyoncé ‘s self-titled fifth studio album slides out of the #1 spot on the Billboard 200 Albums chart this week, the total amount of sales are still growing.

After just four weeks of being released, BEYONCE , which was debuted exclusively on iTunes on December 13, 2013, has outsold the singer’s last studio album 4 !

In the week ending January 5, 2014 (this past Sunday), the album sold an additional 130,000 copies, which brings its total to 1.43 million copies sold in the United States alone. To date, 4 ‘s total in a span of almost three years tallied to 1.39 million.

The latter album debuted at #1 after being released on June 28, 2011 with 310,000 copies. In its second week, it pushed an additional 115,000 before falling to 72,000 and 53,000 in its third and fourth weeks respectivly.

To compare, Beyoncé debuted at #1 with 617,000 in its first chart week (which only counted its first three days of sales), and then moved 374,000 and 310,000 in its second and third weeks.

Her debut studio album Dangerously in Love , which was released in 2003 debuted at #1 on the US Billboard 200 chart, selling 317,000 copies in its first week, has sold 4.91 million to date; B’Day , which debuted at #1 with sales of 541,000 copies in its first week in 2006, has sold 3.36 million to date, and the double disc album, I Am…Sasha Fierce , released November 14, 2008, has sold 3.12 million to date.
