Creative Pick of the Week: ‘Magna Carta Holy Grail’ Collaborators Illustrated by Darien Birks

Inspired by the summer’s most anticipated album, Jay-Z ‘s Magna Carta Holy Grail , Portland, Oregon-based designer Darien Birks took on the creative task of illustrating the set’s announced collaborators: Pharrell Williams, Rick Rubin, Swizz Beatz, Timbaland , and Mr. Carter of course.

The artist, who has done previous work for The Bear Cave and RED, currently works at Nike as a brand designer.

He’s also one half of The Stuyvesants , a musical collaboration with Brooklyn producer Allan Cole (Algorythm).

Magna Carta , which released over the July 4 weekend, serves as Jay-Z’s 12th studio release.
