Regina Hall Joins ‘Grandfathered’ as John Stamos’ “Intimidating” Love Interest

Best Man Wedding and People Places Things star Regina Hall has joined FOX comedy Grandfathered in a recurring role as the love interest for John Stamos‘ reforming bachelor character, Jimmy Martino.

The beautiful funny lady will play Catherine, a confident, successful and intimidating CEO of a tech company. She will meet Jimmy at her book signing, to which he is dragged by his son Gerald (Josh Peck).

Jimmy’s baby mama Sara Kingsley (Paget Brewster) will also soon pick up a new beau in the form of a hipster musician named Craig (Michael Trucco).

Premiering on September 29, the Daniel Chun-created series follows a confirmed bachelor and restaurant owner (Jimmy), who is not only learning how to be a dad to the 20-something-year-old son he never knew about, but also a grandpa to his 2-year-old granddaughter (played by twins Layla and Emelia Golfieri).

On October 28, the show was ordered for a full season of 22 episodes for the first season.

With a cast rounded out by Ravi PatelKelly Jenrette, and Christina Milian, Grandfathered‘s guest list also includes Dr. Phil, Drake Bell, Richie Sambora, Andy Daly, and Full House alums Bob Saget and Dave Coulier.

Daniel Chun and John Stamos serve as Grandfathered‘s executive producers along with Chris Koch and Dan Fogelman. The show is produced by Rhode Island Av Productions, Consolidated Chunworks, 20th Century Fox Television, and ABC Studios.

Regina will return to the big screen in 2016 with The Best Man Wedding, Barbershop: The Next Cut, and When the Bough Breaks. She will also be in the forthcoming Rush Hour 4, which has not been set for a release date.
