You may remember Katie Leung as a teenage Cho Chang falling in love in Harry Potter, but now the actress will save a brother she never knew existed in SundanceTV’s wrenching new mini-series One Child.
Set to air on Friday, December 5th and Saturday, December 6th at 9/8 C, the four-hour, two-night drama centers on Mei Ashley, a young Chinese woman, adopted into a British family, who answers her birth mother’s plea for help after the brother she never knew she had is wrongly arrested for murder.
One Child follows SundanceTV’s astounding line-up of originals that includes Emmy-winning miniseries Top of the Lake, which starred Mad Men‘s Elisabeth Moss, and the critically-acclaimed drama Rectify, which just finished its second season this summer.
The new series also stars Andy Cheung (Impirioso), Nicholas Goh (Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix), Enoch Frost (Guardians of the Galaxy), Emmanuel Ighodaro (Shameless), Elizabeth Perkins (Weeds) and Donald Sumpter (Game of Thrones).
