Watch: Fifth Harmony Performs “BO$$” for MTV’s ‘Artist to Watch’

MTV’s Artist To Watch is showcasing this year’s winners Fifth Harmony, who give a powerhouse performance of their girl-power anthem BO$$.”

The horn-driven dance song serves as the lead single from their upcoming debut studio album Reflection.

“What we wanted to portray on the album was girl empowerment,” says group member Lauren Jauregui. “And a sense of vulnerability in there a little, but moreso the idea of girls coming together and joining as one and not being against each other.”

Formed on the second season of The X Factor, the pop/R&B girl group also consists of members Ally Brooke Hernandez, Normani Hamilton, Dinah Jane Hansen, and Camila Cabello.

Released on July 7, 2014, “BO$$” has charted in the U.S., Canada, India, Spain, Czech Republic and Slovakia, peaking at #43 on US Billboard Hot 100 and #37 on US Mainstream Top 40 charts.

A Fatima Robinson-directed and choreographed official music video premiered the same day as the song’s release.

Reflection, which is set to be released on January 26, 2015 via Syco Music and Epic Records, is preceded by 5H’s 2013 EP, Better Together.

The album’s second single is Sledgehammer,” which was released on October 28, 2014.
