With the 56th Annual Grammy Awards right around the corner Lorde, Katy Perry, Robin Thicke and Metallica have been added to the list of artists set to hit the stage during the yearly event.
This will serve as Lorde’s Grammy debut, and it’s well deserved. The 17-year-old artist is nominated for a total of four awards, including Record of the Year for her #1 breakout single “Royals,” which she is expected to perform.
Katy will likely perform her single “Unconditionally,” while Robin (who in my opinion should receive a Grammy for “Blurred Lines” alone) will perform alongside Grammy-winning jazz-rock veterans Chicago.
Rock veterans Metallica will take the Grammys stage for the first time since 1991 when they perform with Lang Lang, the Grammy Cultural Ambassador to China.
The artists will join previously announced performers Daft Punk, P!nk and Nate Ruess, Kendrick Lamar, and Imagine Dragons, just to name a few. LL Cool J will once again serve as the master of ceremonies.
The show will air live from Los Angeles’ Staples Center on January 26, 2014.
