On her music industry-disrupting new album Beyoncé mentions that she “probably won’t make no money off” it.

The dollars and cents from the album’s sales, unconventional marketing and publicity have yet to be determined but she’s sold a record-breaking 828,773 copies worldwide (617,213 domestically) since the album’s early Friday morning release on iTunes .

“I didn’t want to release my music the way I’ve done it. I am bored with that. I feel like I am able to speak directly to my fans. There’s so much that gets between the music, the artist and the fans. I felt like I didn’t want anybody to give the message when my record is coming out. I just want this to come out when it’s ready and from me to my fans.”

Starting off at #1 in 104 countries, the fete marks the highest debut for a woman since Taylor Swift ‘s Red , which sold 1.2 million copies in November 2012.

BEYONCE ‘s numbers also eclipse this year’s less exciting female debut weeks that required months of promo: Katy Perry ‘s Prism (286,000), Lady Gaga ‘s ARTPOP (258,000), Miley Cyrus BANGERZ (270,000), and Britney Spears Britney Jean (107,000).

This weekend’s sales also top the singer’s B’day (2006), her personal best, which debuted with 541,000 in its first week.

The 14-track, 17-video set consists of musical and visual collaborations with hubby Jay-Z, Pharrell Williams, Drake, Hype Williams, Sia Furler Frank Ocean Justin Timberlake, Miguel, Timbaland, Terry Richardson , daughter Blue Ivy , and several others.
