#VersaceLovesGaga : Versace took to Twitter on Saturday to officially confirm that pop star Lady Gaga is the face of the brand’s Spring/Summer 2014 campaign.
Photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott , the 27-year-old dons sleek blonde tresses and a skin-tight lavender dress, looking a lot like a younger version of the iconic Italian designer.
“I am honoured that my friend Lady Gaga is the face of our new Versace campaign,” Donatella recently told the Independent. “I wanted to capture her true beauty and spirit in images that are elegant and alluring. She is like family to me, the embodiment of the Versace DNA.”
Fans may recall that Gaga rocked custom Versace costumes for her SNL appearance last week and hinted that she was involved in a collaboration with them.

The singer’s third studio album ARTPOP currently sits atop the U.S. Billboard 200 Albums with 258,000 copies sold during its debut week. Combined with world sales, the album has sold a total of 611,000 copies.
