Janelle Monáe Sets ‘Electric Lady’ Release Date, Unveils “Dance Apocalyptic” Teaser

After three years, Janelle Monáe has finally set a release date for her upcoming second studio album, The Electric Lady.

She has also released a 28 second teaser video for an upcoming new single entitled “Dance Apocalyptic.”

The album will be released on September 10, 2013, while the full-length music video gets a July 2, 2013 premiere date. It was directed by Wendy Morgan and Pierre Rouger.

The album’s lead single is the Erykah Badu featured Q.U.E.E.N.,” which was released on April 23, 2013.

The funky song has so far managed to peak at #47 on the Billboard Us R&B Songs chart.

Along with Badu, Prince and Miguel are said to be featured on the record. Take a look at what she had to say about the album below:
