Sound of Change 2013 Benefit Concert: Beyoncé, Ellie Goulding, John Legend, and Madonna to Perform and Present
Beyoncé and Madonna will be hitting the stage at the Sound of Change Live concert, which will be held in London on Saturday, June 1, 2013.
Bey is set to perform while Madonna will serve as a presenter at the benefit show which serves as a way to raise funds for over a hundred worldwide projects that support women and girls.
A billion people are expected to watch the event, which is taking place from Twickenham sports stadium and will be broadcast to 150 countries. Florence + the Machine, Jennifer Lopez, Ellie Goulding, John Legend , Rita Ora and Timbaland also set to perform at the event.
The concert was organized by the Chime for Change campaign, which was started by fashion empire Gucci .
Anyone who buys a ticket for the concert will receive a voucher that can be used to donate to one of the 100+ approved projects supporting education, health and justice causes for women and girls worldwide.
Some of the causes include projects to provide health care to Syrian refugees, fight female sexual mutilation in Mali, provide safe haven for domestic violence victims in Lima and efforts to prevent childbirth deaths in Sierra Leone. Thoughts?
