Last Saturday night, Justin Timberlake, who has made frequent appearances on SNL over the past few years, served as the official host and musical guest on the show, and next month, Miguel will take on one of those tasks himself.
According to Rap-Up, the rising R&B crooner will be the musical guest on April 13th, with Vince Vaughn hosting for the night.
It is currently unknown to what the singer will be performing, but he is currently promoting “How Many Drinks?,” the official third single from his second studio album Kaleidoscope Dream. We can also expect a performance of his hit single “Adorn.”
Released on September 25, 2012, the album debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart with sales of 71,000 copies in it’s first week.
As of February 20, 2013, the album has sold over 321,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan, and was released to rave reviews from music critics, who praised its eccentric style and Miguel’s singing and songwriting.
Kaleidoscope Dream was also named one of the best albums of 2012 in several publications’ year-end lists.
The album’s lead single, “Adorn,” not only gave Miguel his first Top 20 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, but it also earned him three nominations at the 2013 Grammy Awards, where it won an award for Best R&B Song. Thoughts?
Miguel is currently touring alongside Alicia Keys on her Set the World on Fire Tour, which wraps its U.S. leg in April. Thoughts?
