Today KiD CuDi made some big additional promises concerning his forthcoming studio album, Indicud, calling it “an experience. Like every album I’ve released, your minds will be mine.”
Expected to drop on April 23rd, the rapper’s third album is set to release under Universal Republic and Kanye‘s GOOD Music. It follows his crossover into rock music with Dot da Genius, WZRD, which was not as well received as I anticipated.
CuDi’s latest statement about the album comes after a similarly enthusiastic declaration he made a few weeks ago:
“I just wanna say thank you from the bottom of my heart for everyones patience with me and support with this project. It’s the best. No one will top it or come close and that’s just what it’s gonna be. Ahead of everyone forever.“
Predominantly featuring production from Cudders himself, the album boasts a hefty list of collaborators that includes Pusha T, Jaden Smith, Kendrick Lamar, Kanye West, King Chip (Chip the Ripper), Cage, electro-rock duo Ratatat (“Pursuit of Happiness” and “Alive”), Dot da Genius, J. Cole, Common, CuDi’s mentor 88-Keys, Too Short, and Wu-Tang Clan‘s RZA.
Indicud’s lead single is “Just What I Am,” which released August 2012 and features Cleveland rapper King Chip. The song precedes “King Wizard,” which debuted in October, and the most recently released “Immortal,” which samples MGMT.
