Following a performance of “Clique” at a London concert, Kanye West began a six-minute rant, stating “I hate business people.”
He went on to chant, “remind me again why we in this shit…” airing discontent with the price of fame, putting a price tag on art, corporate endorsements, and repeatedly tells the Grammy Awards to suck his dick.
He apparently also takes issue with his big bro Jay-Z collaborating with Justin Timberlake for both Timberlake’s “Suit & Tie” single and their forthcoming summer tour .
“And I got love for HOV but I ain’t fuckin’ with that ‘Suit & Tie.’”
At one point, the rapper begins screaming, “…’cause we all gonna die one day, but Imma live my life my way!!!” Could a rock album be next?
“PLEASE please, can I sell that drink for you please? So I can put on a better show, please? Corporations… can you please support me, please? Me, Kanye West. I swear I’m a nice nigga now! I swear I’ll put the pink polo back on! I swear to you. Please! Just for 3 million… dollars! I need it so bad I need a new pool in my backyard! So I’ll tell all my fans that your shit is cool, and if they believe in me, they should also believe in you…”
Coincidentally, this rant comes exactly one year after Kanye’s auto-tune rant in Australia . Why some write Kanye’s outbursts off as psycho-babble, does he have a point?
