January 26th’s edition of Dance Syndrome will feature international DJ, Ripley, who’ll join residents, Soulphonetics, at Chicago’s TAXIM. DJ Ripley, who is a founding member of San Francisco’s Surya Dub, was voted “Best Dance DJ of 2008″ in SF Bay Guardian.
She is known to slice through genres of street bass, dubstep, Baltimore club music, UK garage, kuduro, hip-hop, jungle, dancehall, breakcore, d’n'b, glitched-out breaks, juke, baile funk, bhangra, and dub.
The event will also feature live art by Ivan Vasquez.
