Jhene Aiko Mirrors Official Music Video

Jhené Aiko’s Macabre ‘Black Swan’-Inspired “Mirrors” Video Directed by Topshelf Junior

Fueling overwhelming anticipation for her Def Jam debut, Jhené Aiko – an admitted lover of horror films — takes on a haunting, emotive interpretation of Darren Aronofsky‘s Black Swan (2010) for her new music video, “Mirrors.”

Directed by Topshelf Junior, who’s worked with Jhené on visuals for Stranger,” My Mine,” and 3:16 AM,” the video is a beautifully gritty black-and-white piece.

The grim Key Wane-produced song highlights the singer’s ability to softly, yet soulfully play with her notes, unlike anything else in her growing catalogue.

“Mirrors” is expected to appear on her .sailing soul(s). follow-up, soul(ed) out. In recent collaborations, Jhené is featured on Big Sean‘s I’m Gonna Be from his 2012 mixtape, Detroit.
