Her sixth studio album, Two Eleven, was released to universal acclaim with critics complimenting her vocals, the albums production, and its overall direction. It also managed to debut at #3 on the Billboard 200 with first week sales of 65,000 copies, becoming her fourth top ten and her first in eight years.
The album reached #1 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, becoming her second album to do so.
While the album hasn’t garnered stellar sales, this is still a great move for her and helped shaped the success that she needed. Making her year even better, it was announced that she got engaged to long-term boyfriend, music executive Ryan Press, over the holidays.
The album’s official second single “Widlest Dreams,” which was written by Sean Garrett, Justin Henderson, and Christoper Whitacre was inspired by her now fiancé, with Brandy stating:
“He loves me for every personality I have. He loves me for every flaw. He accepts me as who I am and he can see me for who I am.”
We are very happy for her here at Sinuous Mag! Brandy deserves this. Don’t you think?
